Integrity

A trial was set in motion. The offense was taking notes into the exam hall. The offender was caught red-handed by one of the invigilators. Upon investigation, it was a prima facie case...so back in the trial chambers, the Disciplinary Committee convened and the offender was called in. The offense was read out loud and the offender was asked to plead. The offender pleaded guilty. No shivers, no tears, no fear, no remorse...almost as if the offender was proud of his/her action. And so the punishment meted was expulsion from the institution.

All's well until the father of the offender appeared to claim that the offender was threatened into admission. The offender was caught with the notes in his/her hands. He/she was copying words and phrases from the piece of paper which he/she had taken in. Please...have the decency to just admit your mistake and apologise. Make peace, repent and start over.

And father, your child cheated in the exam hall. Get your perspective right. Your child took in notes into the exam hall, copied and this was the third time the cheating has taken place...the third time! We cannot have this attribute in a teacher, can we? Of course, not!!! Please do not defend your guilty child.

New year...new everything...welcome 2013

Hmmm...and so enters 2013...another year added to the already old 2012...There's a saying among the old Malays ..."Rumah kata pergi, kubur kata mari..." The house bids you farewell while the grave waits to welcome you...doesn't that make you shiver?...brrrr....It is the time to reflect and evaluate ourselves...Why are we doing what we are doing, Have we contributed enough? Have we Helped enough? How else can we help? Can we make things better? Love a little more and laugh a lot more...be proud of the things we do and make others proud too...give more...do good...
